Be honest now:-)

We're way over our head the minute we say "I can do that"

This is what I mean. I just got 180 channels working today and I need to set up the other 220 channels and it is almost December!!

I have no 35' Mega tree yet.

I got my 32 channels going today. Everything worked great. I wish I had built 8 more SSR's though....to take full advantage of the Grinch. oh well, it's my first year.

It's a vicious cycle, buy more lights, build more SSR's. Build extra SSR's, need more lights, and so on, and so on...

Words to live by! I'm getting boxes from eBay purchases almost daily (all related to this project). I try to sneak them off the doorstep (lucky for me my wife comes through the garage usually) but I'm not always successful!
I'm already planning for 4 serial ports next year, so i've made the usb->serial adapter purchase, and RS485 converters as well... just that kind of stuff. Oh, and I'm out of CAT5 as well, better pick some of that up! :)

I'm already planning on going with a dimming device next year. Have been reading about DMX and Renard. Have to figure out witch way to go. Needs to be compatible with the Grinch set-up I have. Bought 2 Grinch boards from wjohn last summer, but I'm only using half on one of the PCB's this first year.

Firegod don't feel bad. I don't have any of my sequence redone for this year and I am still putting out the lights. I have all of the 128 SSR's in tubes ready for placement, but I have to run all Cat5 cabling to them. Where oh Where did the time go. Oh Thanksgiving is 5 days earlier this year!!!!

So I am working on the second 1000 foot reel of CAT5 cable and I have 75 more snowflake channels to setup and then I need to work on 32 strobes.

I've got 280 channels up and running.

After all that, I need to go wire the neigbor's wireless 32 channels.

I think I have bit off toooo much.
