Groups or Profiles

Can anybody give a detailed description of how to use a profile or group and when to use them?

I can't explain groups, I'm not sure myself exactly how to use them.

A profile can store data such as...

-Channels
-Channel Order
-Channel Colors
-Plugin Data
-etc.

...across several Vixen sequences. I set up the channels for my display once and make all sequences use that profile. A profile can be attached to a sequence in the New Sequence Wizard.
