Well, I missed the sales after christmas and I missed the deals for the online stores. Any idea where a guy can get good deals on christmas lights now? I hope to spend July building my arches, etc but obviously I need lights to do so!
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am considering a mix of LED's and Incans. The LED's scare me just due to the price and it seems they are a pain. If I did LED's, it would be the nice full wave kind.
Thanks.

Well first question would be where are you located.
Second question is what color of lights are you looking for.

Not so cheap but Big Lots has a ton of clear stuff in the outdoor section. As for online I have not really checked but try all the 2nd hand stores and craigs list had my best luck with those 2.

switching the toping around a bit. Can someone define the situations where each type of bulb is used in your displays or what application you can see them as best for? I am specifically interested in the M6 and the 5mm leds, I assume one is better is a certain situation, I just can't picture it as I use all incans.
I realize I can use any type in any situation, just looking at what others have found looks best in their opinions.
Thanks for the advice.

go straight to the chinese manufacture's , l have just completed a deal with a company, there email is sales@mysolarled.com and the contact is kelly, there prices are about $6 usd per 100 led string (no controller or transformer) which are 10m long. The shipping to australia is about $3 usd per string, their min order is 100 sets. They will make the lights to whatever u require, color , voltage lenght.
I have recieved a 24vdc sample set and it looks to be quite good, the leds are bright, the wire is green and thicker the normal, l will be getting another sample of differnt color before placing my order.
In australia these sets cost abount $16 at xmas time so u can see that there is quite a saving
You can also go to trade key.com were there are many other companies with different lighting products to choose from. good luck.
