I see some folks are doing (what i consider to be) very tactful donation requests to charity and such. I have put SO much work into my display, that I would consider doing this. Does anyone have any tips?

1) I don't want to put a money collection bin in front of the house, safety/security, and I don't want to be responsible for it, or count/transport it
2) I don't want to make any logistical work for myself
3) I don't like the idea of asking for money on the FM broadcast (disrupts the flow)

What do you guys suggest? I think it would be cool to collect some money for a good cause, but I don't want to be "in your face" about it.

One idea I like more than what I've pondered so far, is just a pamphlet that folks can grab. The water proof with lid pamphlet holder could be on the tune-to sign....

A local guy here did that and just had a light up sign and a padalocked box. He donated to Make a Wish. Here is a link to his site www.crookschristmas.com Might be more info on there.

If they would provide the box, and come collect the money, that would be fine :)

My neighbors handle that... I encourage people to support their program. Last year they collects multiple truck loads of toys and food plus received many donations from local store and food stores.

They also handle the distribution through the church they organize. So they put a lot of effort into a very worthy cause. The best I can do is support their efforts.

Just as a safe collection method,.... It can be transferred into a bank account and used accordingly as a donation to your indicated charity. It also will provide an immediate electronic paper trail if you need to prove you are using the donations as intended.
