Grouping or layering channels.

Is it possible to drive some sort of relay that could multiply channels?

I am immagining using my puny little 8 channels to control 3 sets of 8 lights each by having them all run on the same channels, but after the SSR truning on and off each set of lights with some sort of switch. Like a 3 way light switch... sort of.

This could effectively render 24 channels with the hardware for 8 + the switching thingy. (multiplicity applies for non-newbies)

Any thoughts?

It's certainly possible to do something like this, absolutely.

However, in all honestly, it would probably be easier and cheaper to buy or build a controller with more channels.
