Ren64 Alive!!

Got one Ren64 working, have to finish the second.

Only one problem I had was the serial cable. Building these at school with the kids, asked them for a serial cable, they find one. No go. Run Diag code on one PIC, heartbeat & ZC are ok, no data. Get a scope, no serial data.

Ask the student where he got the nice cable, he said right next to the UPS.

Lesson learned, if it looks like a serial cable, tastes like a serial cable, it might not talk like a serial cable.

Whipped a new one up with pin 3 & 5, dims like a charm!!!

Ahh yes, a lot of the UPS cables do not have all of the pins hooked up.

Most commonly is the one that goes to pin 3, and the USP only sends serial data, not recieves it.
