question, with the DCSSR's, do you need to have 2x .1uf caps, or is only 1 needed as per BOM?
thanks

I believe the latest boards require 2 caps - one each before and after the regulator - the older boards only had one.

A minimum of one cap on the OUT pin of the reg. I put in two because.... I can...
The datasheet suggests a low value cap to stop oscillation of the REG.

yer i put 2 in cause the board had the spot marked for it,
now i relise i under ordered:confused:, bugger
i herd that dick smiths are starting to stop stock on electronic componets, an i ended up buying what caps the had for .5c instead of the normat .20c each, you remember to barter for it tho..lol:p

hi,
yes they can. the DC SSRs will work with any of the 'standard' controllers (aka Olsen, GRINCH, REN64 REN24 LV)

Yes they are.. Dick Smith are the new "Toyworld" with ALL electronic components, tools, wire, solder and accessories to cease.. I am not sure if they are still ordering at the moment, but last feedback was from 1Feb, only stock items would be sold with no further orders (but that was before Christmas).

Sound much like Radio Shack here -- now all they do is sell stupid cell phones...

I haven't bought a components from DSE for at least 8 years, and even longer from their brothers Tandy. Looks like mail order is the best way if you don't have a local farting ashtray electronics comic shop (Jaycar) nearby.
