Thanks for posting this. Their prices are way better then Mouser. Almost $1.00 less on the PIC16F688. Let us know how long it takes to get your items. I might have to try ordering from them next time.

On some things. Unless I just totally overlooked something, the RJ45's we use are like $1.45 there...
I just checked the order status and it still says 'In Process'.
UPDATE
At 11:38am order status says it's been shipped...

I've ordered from Futurlec for the lat year or so, prices are good, but shipments may take a while.
e.g. ordered two PIC programmers, which are real nice PICKit2 clones for $59, USB. My school ordered online for me, waited a few days order still processing, emailed, response was Credit card did no go through, try again. Business manager tries again, no go, they said possible because all orders are processed at main office in Austraulia. After two 1/2 weeks of this, I get a box, from Thailand, with my PIC programmers. Not sure how/if they got the credit card to work, but I used my PIC programmers and now have 2 Ren64's dimming away!!
Parts I ordered last year were about 2 week turn around.
Moral of the story, need it fast, use Mouser. Good prices and you have time, use Futurlec.

If you used the Mouser part numbers, that would be why. I just did the same thing, but, removed the extra characters and did get some results.
Again, as with any vendor, mileage varies as to what they have.

Figured since I finally have internet again I'd post that the items arrived on Friday, November 16th in the early afternoon. Everything was there so I cannot complain about anything yet...

BTW...future lec has very good prices for prototyping. They charge about $0.45 a square inch with a $15.00 setup. They take eagle and gerber. Silkscreen and soldermask are more...but honestly, pretty cheap IMO.

I want to jump in here to add a point about Future Electronics. A division of their Corporation, Future Active used to have a retail store in the Cherry Hill area of NJ. It was full of catalog parts and a great place for people like you and me to spend the afternoon looking at all the cool stuff. It was without a doubt my favorite place to go.
Then 9/11 happened and we invaded Afganastan, and soon after that Iraq... One afternoon I walked in the store and they were packing everything into to shipping boxes. I asked what was going on. The response was in a French accent (Quebec I believe) "Your country has chosen to invade a peaceful sovereign nation and our company does not subscribe to your beliefs, so we will no longer do business with your citizens"
All the hate and rage I felt when I was across the bay from NYC that hateful day came back in a flood. I had to quickly leave and drive away to keep from having to go to jail that day.
Just my 2 cents...

They would have felt different if this (http://www.cntower.ca/portal/) had been targeted. And it sounds like they didn't want your business(or mine either).

I'd suggest you contact the local branch offices in your area to make a complaint.
http://www.futureelectronics.com/contact/branches.asp?cont=North+America&val=USA
With 42 offices to choose from in the USA, Hopefully one of them can explain why they no longer do business with you.
That beats the hell out the 11 offices in only 8 cities we get up here.
I dont endorse or support that moron's statement.
The best bumper sticker these days in Canada is a simple one "If you don't want to stand behind your Troops, feel free the stand in front of them"
*Ok time to get off the soap box and out of uniform..
I stopped using "Active Electronics" (Future Active) about 5 years ago when they changed names from Active, to Future Active in Canada and jacked their prices by about 70% in some cases..
A single 555ic or 4017 should NOT cost 4.99 each. (personal experience)
Also every time I asked for an out of stock part, the no-mind counter dummy would gladly order me the part from one of the other stores.. +29.99 courier service charge.
I asked when when they expected to restock, he said "this weekend, the shipment has arrived on Wednesday, we dont restock until Saturday" I asked how long to get the part couriered, he said "Next Wednesday"!
So the part is in the store, sitting in the back.. but not being sold until they restocked in 2 days.. but if I wanted them to get off their asses and get me a part sitting in the back room, it would still take 5 days to have the same thing couriered from another store. It just doesnt make sense to me.
Pointing this out to the manager standing near, he offered to have the part delivered directly to my home (2.5 hours away) instead of me driving back to pick it up. For the same 29.99!!
I then pointed out that his sales clerk indicated the restock was in the back. Not blinking an eye, he said that was next weeks stock and it cant be opened until Saturday. I left.
What a way to do business.
Luckily found a small company called http://www.gervaiselectronics.ca/ a small strip mall electronic parts store in Ottawa that bent over backwards to get what the customer wanted. Prices where a few cents higher for most things, but the service was unbeatable.
Even though I have since been posted out of that area, I still order parts from them.

Not gonna happen in this or any other life... A representative of a company gets one very important opportunity to make a very long lasting impression with me. There are several things that will cause me to permanently shun a business for life. Texico was responsible for committing one of the offending issues and it's been 11 years since I purchased gas from them. Sears has likewise offended and I haven't set foot in one of their stores in 8 years. Future committed a capitol offense with me when they questioned my Country's stance on global terrorism, and offended my patriotism with a snide uppity snot nose comment. When they are defunct and selling off their stock to cover the backruptcy, I'll have a little personal chuckle. As for the guy that made the statement... he's a very lucky fellow. I was able to curb my anger and get away before the rage welled up into action...
Jeff
PS I still think the move to call them "Freedom Fries" was a great idea. "Freedom Onion soup" "Freedom Kissing"

Yeah, their prices have fluctuated drastically. Last time I checked the MOC-3023M's they were >$1.09 each, unless you were buying >5000.
I doubt I'll buy from them again, especially if the price swing is that bad...

I will probably start having test boards made by them - its just cheaper for a one/two board test run.
