3. All Group Buy Organizers must be an active member of DIYC for at least 1 year.
Is this strictly enforced?
After completing our first show this past year, we are wanting to go bigger/better just like everyone else on here. Because we are just getting started, I've only been a member of the board for around 3 months. I think it'd be a shame if I couldn't participate in the group buys solely because of this reason.
I guess I understand the point behind the rule, but are there any exceptions?
Thanks

Participate doesn't mean organizer.
It's to keep someone from popping up, creating a group buy, taking everyone's money, and disappearing. You can participate in someone elses organized group buy.

You can participate in them, you just can't run one :) It would be very hard for us Noobs to build are displays without them.

It would be hard for any of us to build things without the group buys.
As they said, anyone can participate. But the rules for the organizer being a member for 1 year are strictly enforced!
