I have searched but I have not found much on artificial snow machines on this site, then again I am the worlds worse researcher.

Do any of you use a DMX controlled artificial snow machine in your shows? If so do you like the effect? Is it worth the expense? Do you have any recommendations make / model / etc

Thank you for any guidance you could provide.

By no replies is it safe to assume not many members are using Snow Machines in their shows? I am still toying with the idea but was hopeful that someone has already been down the path.

Bump... But because I am looking into possibly getting one this year... :)
Anyone have any of the ones found on ebay? How much coverage? etc etc etc.

Thanks in advance!

Hi! I like the Idea too. Does anyone would know how? This would look great on my yard along with my 10ft christmas tree. :D

I use a DMX capable snow machine (will post make and model tomorrow), works extremely well. The snow machine is probably one of the most popular attractions we have (that and the bubble machines (which arent DMX)).

There was a thread a while back in the "other hardware" forum looking into how to make an artificial snow machine. Another member had drawn up some great plans, but i'm not sure how far he got on building the machines.

Its an S100 DMX snow machine (no brand visible). The other thing to take into account with these is the noise, think of a really noisy vaccumn cleaner on a bad day and thats it sounds like.

I got my DMX artificial snow machine http://www.fun-shop.com/show_image.php?im=/img/12/snow1000.jpg&size=300 to surprise my kid in our back yard last year here http://www.twenga.com/, they had a couple of choices. They had some brands that I had never heard of, and they were even cheaper, but I was too affraid to get it and realise that I didnt work on the night the 24th... and yes my kid sleeps like a log, so the vacuum didnt wake him up..
my wife was checking on him every two seconds..
it was a nice day .. we had fun..
Anyways you should totally buy one..

That one looks interesting from the standpoint that you can attach it to a bottle vs pouring the fluid into a reservoir.
