Is there a "basic" tutorial on using trigges in Vixen?
I run my main musical show on LOR and my "accessories"(Toy factory, musical elves, etc) on Vixen. I was interested in making a DIO output at points in the LOR show that would trigger one of my Vixen things to run.
Any help appreciated.
What I/O means do you plan on using

I will be SENDING the signal from LOR on a DIO-96 card output.
My Vixen uses Renards on the Serial port, and I have a NI DIO-96 there as well as an open parallel port.

Wow! Someone found a use for them!
As a disclaimer, I haven't checked on their stability lately, and cannot take responsibility for their use in a show.
That said, I think the code for some of them is there, and I can give you the code for them all if you want to check them. They should work.

Just to make sure. . . .
Say, I choose Pin 0, I will be looking for pin 0 to ground ?
So I should take my 5V DC from the LOR computer's DIO and run to an opto and make it relay to ground the parallel signal on the Vixen PC?

Well, I've only tested it once, and I'm not very familiar with Parallel stuff.
However, the idea is, that if you toggle one of the input pins, then the trigger will fire an event.
When I tested it, I connected the input to another pin - possibly a ground pin, I don't remember it well.

Had to work loads of overtime this weekend, so I haven't tested it, but vacation starts today, and I will be tryng it out Monday.
Thanks for the info.
