I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to wire these to look good...So far they have 25 mini incans but when you look from far away they appear to be white blobs of light and you can't see what they actually are..
Thanks for the help as always.

Might be better hosting the photos where non-Facebook users can see them?

Before looking at the close up photo I thought you were talking about the big blob of light in the middle of the first photo.

Have you tried dimming them slightly? This might be a job for ........Dimmer Curve Man......

The far-back photo is a little blurry, which makes the blobs even more "blobby". :)

Dimming would probably help. If you only have an on/off controller, then put a diode in series with the strings to turn them into half-wave (substantially dimmer) or splice a few extra bulbs in series (slightly dimmer).

You could also try making the props bigger so that the arms are more discernable from a distance, or put partial covers on the bulbs and align them with the direction of the prop arms so they don't diffuse as much.

I was thinking on wiring them up with single leds all joined together but not sure if that would give me the look I'm after...I simply want them to look like snow flakes and not white blobs from far away....I've had this issue with my reindeer wire forms as well...It's why I was asking how to make then look better...

Maybe the flakes would look better on a matte background. It may be that the bricks are shiny enough that the reflected light fills the gaps? Overall I think you need either a larger shape or lower wattage lamps.

Or.... focus your camera and put your glasses on? :D

It's interesting that your Facebook image is more clear then the one you posted. I'd try standing the lights up if you can or put something black behind them; maybe cheese cloth sprayed flat black. Dimming them too much will make them look more yellow.

If it was me, I'd pull the mini's off and replace them with rope-light. It better defined. I was going to make my own but it's hard to be the price with after Christmas sales.:)

Cute David....Thanks Ernie but the rope light I've seen thus far looks bad after a year or 2 in the weather and goes to yello...I wanted a more white light look..Not sure if mini leds will work or would it be better to wire em up straight...

The pics on face book looked better cause of the rates of compression this site has when you use a full pic as opposed to a compressed pic.The ones I posted were raw, then jpeg so I didn't loose much but the compression here really distorted them.Face book uses a higher mb to post...
