Latency?

Although I haven't yet used Vixen in a real environment, it would seem to me to be plausible that there would be some kind of latency between the computer processing the data, the radio transmitter sending it, and the lighting controllers changing the light levels.

So, I was wondering if there could be an option in the preferences (or would this be better for profiles?) to delay the music playback be x milliseconds. (Both +ve and -ve values allowed).

I didn't see any latency in my 4th show. I ran olsen 595s

RF travels in air at nearly speed of light. You can only turn your lights on with a TRIAC at no less than 8 milli-second intervals. Your eye can't see less than 15 milli-seconds (65 Hz) anyway.

I think a latency adjustment is a good idea.

Just because you don't see any latency on your computer doesn't mean that nobody ever will on any computer.

I was also worried about this issue, but I did not see it at all during my Halloween show. So far so good.
