Where to get lights

Up here in Western Massachusetts the stores seemed to do a good job on ordering xmas lights so they did not end up with lots of excess inventory. As we all know, this sucks for us since this is the time we all stock up on stuff for the future. Personally, I am a fan of Target lights. Does anyone know if you can get them online, maybe directly from the vendor, or any place to get them online? Are there ever group buys for lights? Thanks!

I found quite a few online retailers of lights. I just did a google search for "christmas lights" and started poking around. Still wasn't thrilled with the prices I found, but you can find some decent deals if look hard enough. I was lucky enough that we had one walmart that still had plenty left. If you want to go with LED you can't beat the CDI presale.

Check out Travis at LED Holiday Lighting. He sells them string by string and do not need to buy an entire case.

He is having a clearance sale now till the end of January, and his presale starts on Feb 1.

CDI has excellent prices as well (mentioned above), but you do need to purchase the entire case.

It should be noted that there were a lot of issues with Travis/Holiday Lighting with messed up/missing orders last year (well - 2009). I didn't order from him myself but if you look around PC, there were a lot of posts about it. Perhaps things will be better this year...

I hope Travis doesn't have this problem again, I just placed a large order with him in mid December. I'll report back on how the order went when my friend ships the boxes to me.
