Some quick searching didn't turn up anything relevant, so I pose the question is anyone successfully running a Ren24LV with the Renard DMX Firmware?

I don't see why it wouldn't work, except for an excerpt I found in the wiki:

This board REQUIRES the POSITIVE OUTPUT firmware option. Comment out the following line:
[ #define OUTPUT_NEGATIVE_TRUE] as follows;
[;; #define OUTPUT_NEGATIVE_TRUE]

Looking at the DMX Firmware I'm assuming I would just need to change the SINK_map to 0x0 to get it to source all the outputs, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has already tried this.

There's also a good possibility that I'm completely on the wrong track with this :)

I have tried it but I having a problem the diag and com led stay on but when I stream some dmx to it it flashes I using lor s 2 software to run it it works fine on the ren 24 and ss16 ren I set the asm file to dc operation and the sink map to 0x0

Yes, changing the sink map should do the trick nicely for the Ren24LV.

However, don't select DC Build. If I recall correctly, the DC Build never got fully implemented in the DMX firmware, But its been so long I can't remember clearly.

Thanks RL. I don't have the parts yet to build up my LV, but as soon as I do, I'll give it a try and let everyone know how it worked out.

I'm hoping the 24LV will work with DMX as well.
I'm in on the recent 24LV parts co-op, but am waiting for a board from Frank. I think he's out of stock right now....bummer.

I have 7 of the LED Portafloods built (using 21 channels for the 7 portafloods) and am expecting this will work with the 24LV. If I use the DMX firmware (http://doityourselfchristmas.com/wiki/images/e/ea/Renard-dmx-20080814.asm), change the output to positive and sink map to 0x0, and connect the LED Portafloods using just Ethernet cable for power, that's all I need to do as far as the Portafloods go? One ethernet cable to each portaflood will be 6 of the 8 wires used for powering the 3 channels per light.

I built one of RPM's DIY Enttec Pro dongles, which will hopefully work with the Ren24LV.

Also, I am building 3 of Roberts 4-channel DMXssr boards. He said those will work with Freestyler software. I'm hoping that I can set up a lighting system for a kids play using all of this mess....some Par56 lights with the 4-ch DMXssr's and the Ren24LV/portafloods, all with his DMX dongle and Freestyler. That's not asking for much, is it?

Am I missing anything?
