what exactly is involved and how do you trigger vixen with a motion detector. thinking a out next year and want to add this feature.

I'm going to use a motion detector/trigger for Halloween.

My plan is to use the parallel trigger plug in and hack a motion detector to simply move a relay that will close the contacts connecting the two wires (I forgot which parallel port pins. I had this developed several months ago) and triggering the Vixen sequence. I will only be using a max of 8 channels so the basic parallel output is all I need.

I did not test this setup with any other outputs, only basic parallel but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I do not have a parallel port as I am using a laptop without one. how else would I do this?

i know others have used motion detector control. how is it done?
