Does anybody have some proud photos of what their display looks like in the daytime?

My yard looks like the snake pit scene from Raider of the Lost Ark. I worry about my kids who at times tear across the yard like Sant'a sleigh rising from the rooftop.

Is there a better way of presenting your yard during the daytime?

Cheers!

I don't want to post my house in daylight hour pics. It looks like a dump with all those wires running everywhere.

Mine look nice and clean, you need to move to where you get snow that will cover all your wires then if you have to fix anything, you freeze you butt off and try to find the connections covered in snow.

Yah, mine are under a foot of snow. Everything looks so peachy clean... Only trouble is, everything's frozen-in and I won't be able to touch it until February some time... if I'm lucky...

And more snow is headed tonite through Christmas!!! SWEEEEEE!!!

I have roughly 75 cables (power/Cat5) in my yard and most are laid out real nice 'n neat - except when they get over my side fence to the controllers and power outlets. That's where I got ultra lazy and just piled them up - pretty ugly! I'm sure I'll be wondering what the heck I was thinking when it comes time to take it down!

One thing that helps are those garden hose guides - they stick in the ground so that your hose goes around them neatly. I use a few of those to route the cables around and then tie-wrap them here and there.

That is a nice layout, dgreen. You've put great care into the layout.

Nobody's tearing across mine in 3 feet of snow.

One of the things that helps keep mine in place in my yard is.........snow drifts.

I don't care at all what my cords look like. A week after I put them down they are always covered.

Not much chance of snow covering up wires (or anything!) in my part of the world. I run some of my wiring along the side fence and have low voltage cables coming out of the roof at strategic points. Over here (Oz) you can't really leave cables across the lawn, as it needs mowing at least a couple of times over the Christmas period! I'm planning to install some more permanent low voltage + DMX cables next year.

l have what looks like a waterfall of wires coming out of one of my windows, the lawn is covered in wires (grass weeds over grown) but l have been able to use cable tidy to tidy up most of it

I am new to this and just getting a plan together this year but I saw this thread and wanted to throw out a caution. Be careful tying power cables tightly together. The jackets are not rated to be tied in a bundle. They will not dissipate the heat correctly and cause a prolem. When you look at home electrical wiring they are neat but not tied tightly together for a reason.

That's a very good point gdk123. Power cables are usually rated for "free air" use. If you bundle them or enclose in a conduit, they need to be de-rated. (not run at their stated limits)

very clean.

well you can always use velcro and not strap them tight, just to keep them following the same path.
