To make life a bit easier, I will keep stocks of most PCBs required for a number of the construction projects mention of this site.

The GRINCH - A simple 64 channel ON/OFF controller. A simple explanation of the board can be found here: http://www.christmasinshirley.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=840

The documentation on the GRINCH can be found at:

http://www.christmasinshirley.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=138

The SSROZ - a 4 channel SSR board, based off the original CC COOP board. Construction details at:

http://christmasinshirley.com/wiki/index.php?title=4_Channel_SSROZ_Assembly_Instructi ons#Parts_List

LEDTRIKs - A LED scrolling display board, like you see on the highway or infront of some shops. A simple explantation of the board can be found here:

http://www.christmasinshirley.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=848

Construction details at:
http://christmasinshirley.com/wiki/index.php?title=LedTriks_Controller_Assembly_Instr uctions

RENARD 64 - A 64 channel dimming controller

Construction details at:
http://christmasinshirley.com/wiki/index.php?title=Renard64

REN-C - A board that converts a 595/GRINCH to a dimming board.

All the details are in the Wiki
http://christmasinshirley.com/wiki/index.php?title=Renard-595_Converter

DCSSR - A DC SSR board for switch DC loads from 5 to 30 Volts.

the details are here: http://www.christmasinshirley.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=417

I will run COOPs for these boards at various time thru the year, and you can contact me directly between COOPs to order boards.

The boards will ship from Melbourne, Australia to you.

Cheers

John.

John,

Do you have any of the Coop SSROZ 4 channel SSR board's?

He has them. PM him directly with the quantity you need. You wont hear from him immediately because he went on vacation for a while and for some reason didn't pack his computer!!!!

You should hear from him in less than two weeks. He is very responsive to PCB requests.

You can ask Brian or wJohn to clear these two posts in about two weeks. Best to keep this sticky clean and not cluttered.

Heard from him yesterday, so he's ok. "I am in Fiji and have not had access to power, water or email for most of the week. Cyclone Gene hit the island."

Always wanted to go diving there.....

i survived Cyclone Gene!

A number of PCBs requests were sent out over the last two days, and things should settle back into a normal cycle from next week.

Two points to note:

RENARD 16 aka the Xmus board, The current COOP will close soon (end Feb), and i'll revert to regular orders.

PCBs manufacturer is on Chinese New Year vacation. they will start back next week,

Why is the Xmus board closing? Does this mean you will no longer supply those?

I think he means the current COOP on this board will be closing soon. End date Feb 28th I believe.

Is this coop being run differently than the usual manner in which John runs these? He usually just stocks the boards and orders more as he sells them. Is the xmus board going in a different direction?

He took over the Xmus Coop, see thread below

I realize he took over the xmus board. My question is whether or not he will be stocking these boards all year long as he does with every other coop board he took control of.

I will hold a stock of the REN16 after the COOP, as per normal. Quantities will flucuate during the year and ramp up again towards Xmas!

Not sure if you've gotten a response yet. FYI Just send a PM to wjohn for your SSR's.
The Ren-t has been replaced by a new design (http://www.doityourselfchristmas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2747&highlight=power+supply). But if you'd like you might want to contact WayneJ for it. They have run a coop recently for Ren-t. Not sure if they'll do another. Sorry I can't help on Ren-c. Try contacting Ravinglunatic.

Can I ask what are your plans for a controller?
The New Ren64 XC now has eliminated the need for Ren-t. I'm assuming that since you want both Ren-t and Ren-c, you probably have a Grinch? Just curious.

wJohn still has PCBs for the Ren-C, but in "this thread" (http://www.doityourselfchristmas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2744) Phil points out that this isn't the preferred way to dim lights.

Wayne claims that the Ren-T is now also obsolete as new designs include the power supply for both the logic 5Vdc and a zero cross signal. These boards are very hard to come by now and there will probably not be any more co-ops.

You are much better off going with a single board design, or a Ren64XC for dimming.

Juan,

Please take a look at this thread (http://www.doityourselfchristmas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2747). It is the replacement design for the Ren-T. As I said before, wJohn has the Ren-C boards. The link leads you to the board that is combining the Ren-T zero cross and a way to power the Ren-C. It is still being designed, but eventually will be available for your needs.

RENCs are available (about 30 left) and you can use them without a RENT.

Just build a simple powersupply using a 12.6VAC CT transformer and two diodes for the ZC source. Thats all I use.

i'm using a 595 and want to be able to dim them... i thought i had to use a Ren-t and a Ren-c for each 595...
Is this not true? Can I use a tranformer and 2 diodes for my setup? I'm not sure how this all works...

Thanks,
Juan.

Juan,

You'll need one Ren-C for each 595.

A Ren-T must be used as well, unless you use the AC adapter wJohn uses to supply the ZC signal. One Ren-T can connect to more than one Ren-C/595 combination.

There is also a replacement Ren-T in development that will allow you to power the Ren-C/595 combination as well as supply the ZC signal.
